When you call the number, you'll be told your estimated wait for service. You'll be told that you can hang up and call back after that time, or beforehand for updates on your progress through the queue.
Five minutes later, when you reach the front of the queue and call back, you'll be transferred straight to an operator (in this case a recording, as this is a demonstration).
This particular demonstration allows the caller to wait on hold. The system can also be configured to hang up automatically, which is the most effective way to reduce telecoms costs, as it frees up phone lines to help other people join the queue, and is particularly suitable for event ticket sales, when queues of several thousand people may form.
We also have the facility to send you a text when you reach the front of the queue, or to call back from a different number without losing your place (not shown in the demonstration).
ORDERLYQ
can be used to send all calls to a single target number (which may be tied to multiple auxiliary phone lines), or to a range of different numbers, allowing your operators to work from home, and spread call load over multiple call centres.
The target number(s) can be any PSTN, (POTS or ISDN), or VoIP telephone or PBX. In other words, any phone.
We can forward Caller ID information to your systems appropriately, and integrate with your existing CTI applications.
